CD Release, Update (Urgent)

So there is a lot happening in the world of Mindlikewater. We have finished our 3rd Full length and 5th official release. The album is called, Keep Humming Bird. The album will be available July 23rd at this show - Click Here. This will be the last time Mindlikewater will be playing for quite a while. I (Joe Beaty) am moving to New York with my wife the 1st week of August. I really hope to see everyone at this gig...say goodbyes...talk about the amazing times I have had here in Florida. There are so many. I also want to say that I am so very proud of Mindlikewater and our achievement with this new record (Keep Humming Bird). It is amazing. My favorite record by far. It was a true group effort and we are excited to release it at this special show. Come out and support the way you used to. Let's have a real show on July 23rd. I promise we won't disappoint. See you there.

Final guitar sessions!

The tracking sessions for the new record are coming to a close. Tonight will mark the last guitar sessions. Then all we have is voice and keys for two more songs. Mixing has begun. Artwork is in it's early stages. Very excited to bring you guys a third mindlikewater full length. Stay tuned.

Last drum Sessions For The New Record

Hey everyone. Seems like we have been working on our new record forever. While it has been in the works for a long time, there was a lot of downtime between sessions. Shows here and there that required rehearsals. Life always gets in the way as well. The process overall has been a good one. The writing came easy. Last night marked the final drum session for the new Mindlikewater record. Woo! We are working on tracking the other instruments for the final 2 songs. This will be our first full length record since, Curving Toward The Sun. Hard to believe we have been a band (on and off) for over 10 years. Wild. Anyhow. Mindlikewater Recording Sessions Resume

In the studio tonight with Ryan Copt doing some last minute touch ups on the 9 songs we have recorded. Love what is coming out of the speakers. Song 10 is in demo phase. Mindlikewater Studio Update

We are back at work on our record. Song numbers 8 and 9 are needing voice and keys and then they will be done as far as the recording process goes. Ryan Copt has begun the mixing process. I have song number 10 about ready and I am super excited to get the guys jamming it. We are excited to finish this record so we can get out playing again. Looking to play mostly new music and a select few old tunes. Ready to shed our skin and try something new. The new songs are catchy and listen-able. There are still heavy tunes as well. I think this record showcases our abilities and styles very well. There is something for everyone on this record. Stay tuned for news.

The Plague

Seems like sickness has a bit of a hold on Mindlikewater the last two weeks. We are still working on what feels like might actually be the last 2 songs for the new record. Mindlikewater - Ash Angelic Re-Issue?

I have been thinking a lot about how amazing our little Mlw fan-base is. We have a small but very dedicated group of fans. All of which have followed us through our on-going musical metamorphosis. Thank you so much! Each record has reflected where we were as a band at the moment. I can tell you that I am very proud of our new music. (We are about done writing and recording for our 3rd full length for 2011 release.) I am equally proud of what we have released in the past. My personal fave being the "Ash Angelic" EP. I am considering re-issuing this in the near future. Maybe a short run of 50-100 cds? Is this something that people would be into buying online and at shows again? The album is of course available on iTunes, Amazon and Cd Baby for download. I just feel this release might not of got the attention it deserved as we broke up right after it's release.
